All About David
While in High School he decided to become a professional football player, however a knee
injury forced him to drop that dream and look elsewhere. He had harboured a secret attraction
for the Theatre ever since seeing "The King and I" as a child. He attended the Ithaca College in
NY and while there decided to try acting, he majored in Film Studies.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree after four years of study, and then headed for
Hollywood. When he first set off for Hollywood it was with the intention of working behind the
cameras as a director. However, as an unknown he didn’t have much luck as Hollywood is not
prepared to entrust large budgets to 22 year olds. There he took odd jobs like valet parking and
painting houses. Despite this set back, he did manage to break into the entertainment industry via
commercials and working as an extra.
While walking his dog "Bertha Blue" he was approached by a Hollywood manager who asked if
he was in the business, when David said that he was the manager said he knew of the perfect
role for him. The "Buffy" casting director Marcia Schulman was called to arrange an audition for
the role of ANGEL. The rest, as they say, is HISTORY !!! ANGEL is one of the hottest shows
on the WB AND has entered it’s fourth season.

David reads all of his fan mail (when time allows him to) and answers a lot too, he has also been
known to telephone fans and surprise them on certain occasions. He likes intelligent women that
read books and enjoy poetry. But don’t get them hopes going as David is in his second marriage
with Jaime Bergman, actress, (Sons of the Beach). He married Jaime on 24 November 2001.
Their Union is blessed with a first child, on the 1st May 2002 at 12.59 am.
The little boy is called Jaden Rayne Boreanaz.

The Vampire mask that he wears on screen takes 80 minutes to put on and a further 40 minutes
to remove, which he says he doesn’t mind as once the contacts are in he is raring to go…..
His family is extremely proud of him. David credits his parents for their continued teaching
and support. "I never really set out saying ‘I want to be famous’. For me, success only
comes from hard work, the work ethic I got from my parents. Fame is a fleeting moment".
– DB "I’ve had a great teacher in my father. I’m fortunate to have such a great family,
with two great sisters. They keep me in check." – DB

** David in Music Video
"See David in Dido's new video "White Flag" out 01/09/03 in the UK. http://www.didomusic.com/
under the gallery section or go to the downloads section on this site."
** Angel fans were thrilled this weekend by a rare UK convention appearance by the top star
himself, David Boreanaz. Wearing glasses, jeans and T-shirt, David looked relaxed as he answered
questions and signed a mountain of autographs at The David Boreanaz European Event. As well as
chatting about favourite episodes, how he relaxes, directing and the like, he politely turned down the
many hundreds of dates he was offered. Now, now ladies, he's a married man!
Asked about how Angel would manage without Cordelia, David said that it was one of the issues
addressed at the beginning of season five. He added that we might well see Connor back. "They're
playing with an episode where he comes back, he doesn't know who I am, which should be interesting."
To massive cheers, he also confirmed that Buffy would be appearing on Angel during the next season.
**Check this out, it is the cover art from this week's TV Guide (sept02) featuring Angel (David
Boreanaz) and Spike (James Marsters) on the cover (on newsstands now). The inside story gives
an exclusive sneak preview at the new season of Angel, including details about the reemergence
of Spike, last seen going up in flames on the series finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Suffice it to
say, his return is not going to be an easy one. "He's not going to walk in and go, 'You wouldn't
believe what just happened to me. I dreamt that I was burnt to a crisp.' We're going to bring him
back in the most painful and confusing way for him possible," says series creator Joss Whedon
of Spike's encore.
**The crow, starring Brandon Lee (who died onset of a gunshot wound from a faulty prop revolver),
there were two sequels to the sci-fi thriller: The Crow: City of Angels and The Crow: Salvation
(starring, we kid you not, Kirsten Dunst). Now, Boreanaz, whose WB drama has yet to be picked
up for a fifth season, gets to sink his teeth into the role of a satanic biker in the sequel titled Wicked
Prayer, which starts shooting this June. Starring opposite Boreanaz are Dennis Hopper and Edward
Furlong, who plays a murder victim resuscitated by the crow's avenging spirit.
Boreanaz's last feature film efforts were 2002's straight-to-video I'm with Lucy and 2001's slasher
flick Valentine. His name was briefly thrown around as a potential Superman candidate, until he
told E! Online, "I'll just kill the rumor now--it hasn't happened. I did go in and read for the part,
but I can't do it because of my s chedule with Angel."
